Wake up the PC by shaking the mouse or pressing the space bar on the keyboard. You will see the screen below after pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del.
These PCs, by default are on the lab domain, which means students can login with their usernames. For Faculty and Staff, they are on the CPCC domain so they will have to enter cpcc\username and then the password to login to the PC. See example shown below.
For the Projector, there are 2 podium-style buttons as shown below. One says "Extron" the other we call "Crestron"
Press “ON” and/or “USE PC” to turn on the projector. It should look like the pictures below.
There are times the main display will be set to show on the projector screen only and the PC screen is blue/ black. Press the Windows key + P. A dark-gray menu titled “Project” will pop up on the right part of your screen.
Select “Duplicate” to have the same display show on the PC and projector screen.
You can adjust and mute the audio by pressing the “VOL+”, “VOL-“ OR “VOLMUTE” on the Crestron. The Extron has a dial to adjust the volume with a LED light that indicates the volume level, press "Audio Mute" to mute the projector speakers
*Please keep in mind that with the Crestrons, you will have to press the button a few times or hold it to raise/lower the volume as there is no indicator of the volume being raised/lowered. Also, you can amplify the sound by pressing " Mute" and then pressing it again to take it off, and it will raise the volume considerably; this can only be done once so after it has been amplified once you will not be able to do it again until perhaps after the projector has been restarted.
To turn off or "mute" the picture on the projector screen, press the “Video Mute” or “Pic Mute” on the Extron and Crestron respectively.
Below are the HDMI and audio jack connections for an external device like a laptop. When using these please select the corresponding input for the projector to switch to it. This is only available for Extron podiums, reference the picture below. Crestron podiums will not have any connections to use.
