Task
The following Knowledge Base article outlines the steps to take to add a PST file to your Outlook email client for review.
Prerequisites
- Configured profile in Outlook
- The Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook tool (available in Software Center)
Instructions
- Launch the Outlook app.
- Click "File" on the Navigation Ribbon.
- Click the "Account Settings" button and in the drop-down, click "Account Settings" again.
- Within the window that displays, click "Data Files."
- Within the "Data Files" tab click the "Add" button.
- Esure that "Outlook data file (.pst)" is selected and click "Ok."
- In the window that displays, browse to the location of the PST file, select it and then click OK.
- In this example, we navigate to the desktop where we have saved the PST file and select the PST listed.
- You should now see the PST file listed with the name of the folder it is added under in Outlook.
- You can then close the account settings window and navigate to the folder where the PST is added.
Outcome
Your PST file is now available for viewing in Outlook.
