Task
Review and process Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) submissions in MyConnect.
Prerequisites
- Access to MyConnect via Single Sign-On (SSO) using faculty/staff credentials.
- Only Associate Deans and Registrar’s Office staff will receive CPL-related tasks.
Instructions
- Access Your Tasks
- Go to the Faculty and Staff section of the College website and select MyConnect
- Sign in using Single Sign-On (SSO)
- On the Start Page, locate your assigned tasks on the Feature Card and click the Task Name to open it
- Review Student Submission
- In the task view, confirm the student under the Related To field
- Click View Profile to access the student’s profile
- Under the Documents card, review the Credit for Prior Learning submission and any uploaded documentation
- Use the eye icon to view documents and verify all required information is included
- Record Notes
- In the student’s profile, open the Notes card and select New Note
- Document the course the student will receive credit for, number of credit hours, and any relevant details
- Set the Note Type to CPL and click Submit to save
- Update Task Status
- Return to the task view and update the Status based on your review:
- Approved – student meets requirements; triggers Registrar review
- Pending – additional documentation needed; notifies the student to upload more files
- Denied – student request not approved; notifies the student of denial
- Registrar’s Office Action
- Approved tasks generate a follow-up task for the Registrar’s Office
- Once credit is awarded in Colleague, the Registrar updates the task status to Done
Outcome
The Credit for Prior Learning request is reviewed, documented, and processed in MyConnect. Approved credits are posted to the student’s academic record in Colleague.
