Wireless Network Connection Resolution

Overview

If your Central Piedmont-issued laptop is unable to automatically connect to the WiFi, follow the steps in this article to resolve the issue.

Solution

Solution 1:

  1. Connect the laptop to your docking station. Once the device shows as connected to the network (as noted in the screenshot below), restart the computer.

  2. Disconnect the laptop from the docking station after restarting and check if the device connects to the WiFi automatically once it returns to the login screen.
  3. Repeat these steps if they do not work the first time.

Solution 2:

  1. If you are unable to connect the device to a docking station or use other means to hardwire it to the network, connect the laptop to the CPCCguest WiFi. Steps for that process are available in this article: How to Connect to the WiFi Network.
