Overview
This article is for faculty and staff who need to move files from the U-Drive (a network storage location) to Microsoft OneDrive. Moving files to OneDrive helps ensure easier access, improved file sharing, and better integration with Microsoft 365 tools.
OneDrive - Desktop Application

Search for "OneDrive" in the Start menu. Double click to open it. If it opens a File Explorer window, please continue to Step 3. If it opens the window to sign in, please follow the sign in prompts.

In the "Sign in to OneDrive" window, enter your email address, click sign-in, and follow the prompts to provide your username and password. Click "Next" when prompted, and if asked to create a new folder or use an existing one, "use this folder." Click next through the other prompts, then "Not Now" if promted to install the mobile app, and "Open My OneDrive Folder" to complete the sign-in process.

- Open a File Explorer window and navigate to the OneDrive folder.
Open a second File Explorer (hold shift, and click "File Explorer" again) and navigate to the U-Drive.
In the U-Drive window, press CTRL + Left Click to select individual files or Ctrl + A on your keyboard to select all files.

Drag and drop the selected files into the OneDrive folder.

Allow time for the upload to complete.
Outcome
U-Drive files have been moved to OneDrive.
