MS Excel Keyboard Shortcuts

Here is a list of keyboard shortcuts that will make working in MS Excel easier and more efficient.

Ctrl + Shift + ; Enters the current time
Ctrl + ; Enters the current date
Alt + Shift + F1 Inserts a new worksheet
Shift + F3 Opens the Excel formula window
Shift + F5 Produces the search box
Ctrl + B Bolds highlighted selections
Ctrl + I Italicizes highlighted selections
Ctrl + K Inserts Links
Ctrl + F / Ctrl + H Produces the Find and Replace options
Ctrl + G Opens go-to options
Ctrl + U Underlines highlighted selections
Ctrl + Y Underlines selected text
Ctrl + 5 Strikes through highlighted selection
Ctrl + O Opens Options
Ctrl + N Opens a new document
Ctrl + F9  Minimizes the current window
Ctrl + F10  Maximizes the currently selected window
Ctrl + P  Opens the print dialogue box
Ctrl + Z  Undoes the last action
Ctrl + F6 Switches between open workbooks/windows
Ctrl + Inserts the value of the above cell into the current cell
Ctrl + Page up & Page Down Moves between Excel sheets
Ctrl + Shift + $ Formats the cell is in currency format
Alt + = Creates a formula to sum all of the above cells
Ctrl + Tab Moves between two or more open Excel files
Ctrl + Shift + ! Formats numbers in comma format
Ctrl + Shift + % Formats numbers in a percentage format
Ctrl + Shift + ^ Formats numbers in scientific format
Ctrl + Shift + # Formats numbers in date format
Ctrl + W Closes the document
Ctrl + Space Selects the entire column
Ctrl + Shift + @ Formats number in time format
Ctrl + Right arrow Moves to the next section of the text
Shift + Space Selects the entire row
