Overview

LinkedIn Learning is an online platform offering video courses led by industry experts in areas such as software, creative, business, and professional development. Courses are organized into four main categories: Business, Creative, Technology, and Certifications.

Employees and students can access LinkedIn Learning by signing in with their Central Piedmont credentials. 

Accessing LinkedIn Learning

  1. Go to LinkedIn Learning.

  2. Select "Sign In" in the top right corner. 

  3. Enter your Central Piedmont email address. Be sure to use the correct email format:
  • Employees: firstname.lastname@cpcc.edu
  • Students: username@email.cpcc.edu

Note: If you are redirected to sign in with your personal email address, it means your Central Piedmont LinkedIn Learning access is connected to your personal LinkedIn account. Sign in using your personal LinkedIn login to continue. If needed, you can disconnect the accounts from the Settings page after signing in.

  1. You will be redirected to Central Piedmont's single sign-on. Enter your student or employee credentials and complete the multi-factor authentication (MFA) to continue.

  2. After signing in, you will have full access to the LinkedIn Learning library.

Connect or Disconnect a Personal LinkedIn Account

Central Piedmont LinkedIn Learning access can be connected to a personal LinkedIn account. This allows a user's course history and accomplishments to sync directly to their personal LinkedIn profile.

If your accounts are already connected, you will be redirected to sign in using your personal LinkedIn account when logging in. Accounts can be connected or disconnected at any time by following the steps below.

Connect a personal LinkedIn account:

  1. Sign in to LinkedIn Learning using your Central Piedmont email address.
  2. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner and select Settings.
  3. Scroll down to “Connect your LinkedIn account from your LinkedIn Learning account provided by your organization.”
  4. Click Connect my account.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the connection.

Once connected, you can access LinkedIn Learning directly from your personal LinkedIn account, and your learning activity will be associated with your personal profile.

Disconnect a personal LinkedIn account:

  1. Sign in to LinkedIn Learning using your personal LinkedIn account.
  2. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner and select Settings.
  3. Scroll down to “Disconnect your LinkedIn account from your LinkedIn Learning account provided by your organization.”
  4. Click Disconnect my account.
  5. You will be signed out, and your accounts will be unlinked.
  6. Sign back in using your Central Piedmont email address. You will no longer be redirected to sign in with your personal account.
