IGEL Operating System Overview

Basic Interface:

  • The top left corner has a power button icon for rebooting.
  • The Central Piedmont logo allows users to reopen the login window if closed.
  • The computer name is displayed in the bottom right corner for issue reporting.

Login Process:

  1. Enter your Central Piedmont username and password in the "Citrix Login" window.
  2. Students: Select "lab.cpcc.edu."
  3. Faculty/Staff: Select "cpcc.edu."
  4. Click "OK" to proceed.

Note: If you have access to a single Central Piedmont Cloud desktop, it will launch automatically. If you have access to multiple desktops, icons will appear for each one; click the desired desktop icon to launch a virtual desktop.

Alternative Login Method:

  • In some areas, users will see a "Connect" icon. These areas are student intake areas which were previously using the "CCR Login" option. Simply click the "Connect" icon and it will launch a virtual desktop.

Logout Process:

  • Users should log out after their session. The computer will reset after each use, clearing local sessions.
