Student
- Select the "CPCCStudent" network in your device's WiFi settings.
- When prompted for username and password, enter your student credentials.
- If you are on an Android phone/tablet or a Chromebook, you will be prompted with additional configuration settings:
- EAP Method: PEAP
- Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
- CA Certificate: Do not validate
- Anonymous Identity: Leave blank
- After entering your credentials, you may see a prompt about a trust certificate. Select "Join", "Connect", or "Trust" (wording may vary depending on your device).
Important: If you are using an Android 14 device, please see the Connecting Android 14 Devices to WiFi section for instructions.
Employee
- Select the "CPCC" network in your device's WiFi settings.
- When prompted for username and password, enter your employee credentials.
- If you are on an Android phone/tablet or Chromebook, you will be prompted with additional configuration settings:
- EAP Method: PEAP
- Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
- CA Certificate: Do not validate
- Domain: cpcc.edu
- Anonymous Identity: Leave blank
- After entering your credentials, you may see a prompt about a trust certificate. Select "Join", "Connect", or "Trust" (wording may vary depending on your device).

Guest
The guest network has limited access to Central Piedmont network resources and internet destinations.
- Select the "CPCCguest" network in your device's WiFi settings.
- Once connected, you should be automatically directed to a web page. If the page doesn't open automatically:
- Open any web browser and load a website. You should be redirected to the login page.
- Go to your Wifi settings and "forget" the CPCCguest network, then try connecting again.
- Mobile devices: tap the options icon on the CPCCguest network > tap "Forget" (wording may vary)
- Windows: right-click the CPCCguest network > Forget
- Chromebook: select "known networks" > click the three dots beside CPCCguest > Forget
- Review the terms and click "Continue to the Internet"
If your device disconnects from the "CPCCguest" network, you must go through the connection process again.
Connecting Android 14 Devices To WiFi
These instructions apply to both the CPCC and CPCCStudent networks.
- Open the WiFi settings and select your network.
- Enter the following configuration settings:
- EAP Method: PEAP
- Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
- CA Certificate: Use system certificates
- Minimum TLS Version: TLS v1.2
- Online Certificate Status: Do not verify
- Domain: cpcc.edu
- Identity: Enter your username here
- Password: Enter your password here
- *IMPORTANT: After entering your password, go to Anonymous Identity and erase any text in that field. It should be completely blank.
- After entering your credentials, you may see a prompt about a trust certificate. Select "Join", "Connect", or "Trust" (wording may vary depending on your device).
