Logging in with Microsoft Authenticator

Instructions

  1. When prompted to sign in with Microsoft, you will see the screen below. Enter your Central Piedmont email address and password. The password is the same password as your Central Piedmont employee password. 
  2. After entering your email and password, you should be prompted to authenticate with Microsoft Authenticator.
    If you see the screen below instead, please select "Next" and follow the steps outlined in our Knowledge Base article, Setting Up Microsoft Authenticator App.

3. Authenticate your login with the authentication method you have set up in Microsoft.

4. If you are using MS Authenticator, open up MS Authenticator on your phone and enter the number shown on the webpage. 
    If you are using a the phone or text method, enter the code provided when prompted.

5. Click Yes if you are not on a shared device.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure that you have set up your Microsoft Authentication App or YubiKey and can log into your account at Microsoft. 

  • Make sure you are using the latest version of Authenticator. Tap settings and make sure App updates are turned on. 

  • Clear the Cache and Cookies in your web browser. 

  • Try to log in using an Incognito browser. 

  • Make sure the email format for logging in is “firstname.lastname@cpcc.edu” not “username@cpcc.edu” 

  • If you receive an error that your account has been blocked or you are unable to input the two-digit verification code, please call the ITS Service Desk to have your authentication reset.
