Making and Receiving Calls on Your Desk Phone

Making a Call

  1. Pick up the handset or press Speaker
  2. Dial the extension or phone number
  3. The call will connect normally

No special dialing codes or prefixes are required.

Receiving a Call

  • Your phone will ring with the caller’s information displayed on the screen
  • Lift the handset or press Speaker to answer

In‑Call Features

Place a Call on Hold

  • Press Hold
  • Press the blinking line key to resume the call

Transfer a Call

  1. Press Transfer
  2. Dial the number or extension
  3. Press Transfer again to complete the transfer
You may speak with the recipient before completing the transfer if needed.

Create a Conference Call

  1. While on a call, press Conference
  2. Dial the next participant
  3. Press Conference again to join everyone together

Checking Voicemail

  • Press the Voicemail button
  • Enter your voicemail PIN
  • Follow the prompts to listen, delete, or save messages
You can also access voicemail from:
  • Microsoft Teams (Cisco Call app)
  • The Webex app
  • Your email (audio attachment)

Troubleshooting

Try these steps if you notice unusual behavior:
  • Check that the network cable is firmly connected
Contact ITS if:
  • Calls will not connect
  • Your phone does not ring
  • Voicemail does not respond
